  1. Hello Bisogno:

Wonderful mushroom photo. Is there a story behind this, or was it just something you wandered by? I noticed the title says in the Greenhouse, but it looks like outdoors. What kind of mushroom is it. Did you do anything at all to the cap or stem, in terms of touch ups, etc.?

I just thought of something… what if I call you Biscotti? I like it!

    • Hi Dawn. It’s good to see you here!

I captured this inside a greenhouse with a dirt floor. The mushroom was growing in the dirt along with a patch of grass. I used a macro lens on the camera which was mounted on a tripod with the legs splayed all the way out so the camera was practically on the floor. This gave me an ants eye angle of view. I don’t know what kind of mushroom it was, but there was no retouching involved. AlI I did was wait for the light to be perfect. It was the low angle of the sun that brought out the rich colors and detail.

Why don’t you just call me Cookie. 🙂

      • Cookie? Hahaha!!

Thanks for the story behind the photo. I guess every photo has to have a special way to capture it, and it sounds like you were uncomfortable doing this one, but it was worth it. Great job!

        Dawn 🙂

  2. Very edible!I Guess you are going to have to add a macro to your arsenal of weapons! You do tend to get wherever the action is, in the air or on the ground. The world can not escape your wandering eye! Even if it is inches off the ground! 😆

  3. “Lezlie Sokol” Painted Cloud Gallery. I’m glad you liked “Mushroom in the Greenhouse”. It was interesting to reread this conversation. I finally have macro capability again. The link going to the lens was broken, but I just fixed it.
