I have had Fairfax nights hanging on my wall for about twenty years.I just love that photo, but,I always thought it was evening shot, not early morning. Was It shot when you were a full time musician?

Holy shimoly! Was it that long ago? I’m glad you love it. Fairfax Night has done well for me over the years. It may have been the first print I ever sold.
Your print is an actual photographic print. I don’t even have one of them any more. The version on my blog is digital, scanned from 35mm film.
My best recollection (no meta data back then to refer to) is between 3:30 and 4:00 am. That was a typical time for me to be out walking the dog after a gig.
I was a full time musician until 1995 and Fairfax Night was shot in the late 70’s. At that time, I was a musician wishing I had more time for photography. Now I’m a photographer wishing I had more time for music. Ya can’t win!
By the way, that’s a pretty scary Avatar, or should I say Blavatar. Almost as scary as mine!

The day I found your site, I was looking for a new wordpress theme to replace my old one (Emire). I really liked your wordpress theme (Bueno) and had all intentions of using it, but then saw Enterprise and decided to go with that.
I’ve been blogging since mid-July 2009. I love having a place to show my personal work, better than having them languish away as a print in a dusty old box, or on a hard drive stuffed in a closet.

I have enjoyed looking at your photos very much. Having grown up in Los Angeles quite a few of your photographs brought back fond memories. In particular, The Century Towers. Oh how quickly the years pass! Thank you for making your photos available via WordPress!

I’ve been browsing through your blog and looking at all your pictures, they’re really amazing! Do you currently shoot both film and digital? If you do, you’re so lucky! I wish I can get back in the darkroom and master it, but digital seems to be less costly right now. Thanks for posting your work!

I think I have about 250 images on Blog-Bisogno now with more on the way, and exactly 86 Famous Photographer and Artist Quotes (click on quotes at the top of the main page). I always tell photographers such as yourself who are just starting out that everything you will ever need to know philosophically about art can be found in these quotes.
I still have all my film cameras including my Mamiya RZ Pro ll medium format camera, but I must admit that they are collecting dust these days. Although I spent years developing my wet darkroom technique, I have embraced the digital darkroom. For commercial work, you simply will not fit into the workflow shooting film. However, film is still wonderful for artistic endeavors. There is something about film!
