Pesce Spada

Pesce Spada, Mercato del Capo

Pesce Spada, Mercato del Capo, Palermo, Sicily, 4/30/2018

I don’t do much street photography, but when I do I end up loving the experience. Mercato del Capo, one of many outdoor markets in Palermo is a mixed bag of fish, fruit, vegetables and assorted cheeses. The vendors are colorful, ranging from grumpy to singing opera at the top of their lungs while working. I seem to have a built-in filter that lets me know who wants their picture taken and who doesn’t…but just to be safe, you can’t go wrong shooting a decapitated swordfish.
