Buddhas at Kum Ryong 2, South Korea
This is one of many photographs captured at Kum Ryong near the Korean Demilitarized Zone which roughly follows the 38th parallel for 160 miles dividing North and South Korea. It’s one of those places that, unless you knew one of the locals you would never find in a million years. I was watched closely while at Kum Ryong Temple atop its 5,000 ft. mountain perch, and later I leaned that I was the first foreigner to visit the sight.
