  1. I love this quote! Light IS everything. I have learned the hard that this is fact. So much so, that I don’t even bother going out if the light ain’t right. Except, of course, when I just can’t help myself.

    • The coining of the word “photography” is usually attributed to Sir John Herschel in 1839. It is based on the Greek φῶς (phōs), (genitive: phōtós) meaning “light”, and γραφή (graphê), meaning “drawing, writing”, together meaning “drawing with light”.

      For me, it’s more like painting with light.
