The last time I went looking for spring wildflowers was 2005 when California experienced the wettest winter in 100 years creating a super-bloom. I had to go! Fast forward to 2017 and the word super-bloom is once again being bandied all over the web. So I went last week…up the coast to San Luis Obispo to Hwy. 58 East towards Bakersfield. I camped in Carrizo Plain National Monument at Painted Rock and the above image was captured near Soda Lake.

  1. Just because a photographic image of nature is beautiful, doesn’t mean it’s good. Just because an image moves one to feel, doesn’t mean its art. In fact, quite often it’s not. You have succeeded where most fail, Bisogno. This is art.
