There is high drama in North Carolina where a ridgeline abounding in fall color meets a deep blue sky.

  1. redstuffdan: Thanks for liking “Autumn Ridgeline – North Carolina”. I feel I have achieved a painterly effect with this image which is not easy in a medium (photography) that is capable of so much detail.

    • Mother nature is a beautiful painter and planner.

A photographer has to have an eye, or ear to mother Nature to be able to “see” the beauty she offers.
It is clear that you have Mother Nature’s “eye” for she directs you to her offerings.

The azure sky with the soft, white, puffy clouds is the perfect backdrop for the gold and russet colours of the trees with just enough of the green to accentuate the dominant colours.

  2. Ron Hillmar: Thanks for liking “Autumn Ridgeline – North Carolina”. Kodachrome was my favorite film, but I hate digitizing the stuff. I consider it the hardest film to scan. You can never get it to look quite as good as it looked on the light table.
