Purple Owl’s Clover at Carrizo Plain
These purple owl’s clover were found while walking through tall grass in Carrizo Plain National Monument. They were a breath of fresh air, with their purple/magenta flowers lit by the sun and surrounded by a sea of green and yellow.

inte fan gör det det: Thanks for liking ”Purple Owl’s Clover at Carrizo Plain”. I got the short depth of field in-camera instinctively since I trained myself during the film era. Now, you can apply an out of focus look in post processing, but I can spot it in a New York minute. It’s just not the same. These days, I use the Simple DOF app. on my iPhone 6+…if I’m not sure.

Man of many thoughts: Thanks for liking this image. I can still smell the clover. I don’t get much of that in Downtown Los Angeles.
