When your grandfather is an artist, family photos become harbingers of ever-present surreality.

I delight in the surreal. I love it when viewers find something odd about an image.

Hi Jackie, Thanks for liking “Watching Over Raena Bella”. Raena Bella seems to have a proclivity for being in the right place at the right time. What more could you ask from a grandchild?
Nature’s Child: Thanks so much for liking my image “Watching Over Raena Bella” captured on my iPhone 6 +.
Again with the IPhone?!?! Geez…..you’re killing me here….
I promise to stop doing this to you (although it has been fun). I was curious what my iPhone could do as a tool for creating art photography and the answer is…pretty damn good. I find it harder to compose on a phone’s LCD (especially on a bright, sunny day) and of course the lens is not the greatest, but any chromatic aberration and distortion can easily be fixed in post processing. So relax Lezlie. I will now go back to my Nikon D810.
Uh~huh, right! You’ll never stop! You’re nothing but trouble!! 😉
Shannon: Thanks for the like! Not only is my heart and soul in this image, but my shadow as well.
Man of many thoughts: I would have made this image regardless of whether anyone liked it or not. It was done out of love for a child and longing to watch over her once again. So I thank you and everyone else who has taken the time to leave a like for “Watching Over Raena Bella”.
seedbud: Thanks so much for liking “Watching Over Raena Bella”!
Deepak Acharya: Thanks for liking this image. It’s deeply personal…and a side of me I rarely publish.
