This is a digital painting I made from a photograph using various brushes, filters and textures. When someone asks me how I created an effect, I always tell them I don’t know and I’m not intensionally withholding information. I am telling the truth. It’s like playing jazz. You don’t think about it. You feel the vibrations around you and respond to them. I use this method of never memorizing or writing anything down so my work will never be the same twice.

  1. Jessie Martinovic: Thanks for liking “Madonna Mia”. I am a photographer with roots in the photographic process as in film and the wet darkroom. Whenever I overstep the bounds of that process, I do not label it as a photograph. Instead, I use the term digital painting so viewers understand the division.

  3. Man of many thoughts: This was created a while back for one of the best clients I’ve ever had in my 22 years of commercial photography. It wasn’t really suited for the project we were doing at the time. It just kind of happened. While searching through the archived files last week, I unearthed it for posting on Blog-Bisogno.com. Thanks for liking “Madonna Mia”.
