Looking Out on Autumn
Looking Out on Autumn – North Carolina USA
I don’t know what I like better about North Carolina, the fall color or the old barns. This image has both. When I see an abandoned barn, I’m compelled to go in and see if there’s anything interesting enough to be photographed. In this barn, on this day, at this particular moment in time, it was obvious what the subject would be since it was perfectly framed by the open barn door. It was as if the film had already been developed and I was looking at it through one of those 1960s handheld slide viewers.

No effects added here. Just color reversal film. This scene would have had a whole different vibe if it had been captured digitally.
