Tres Ocotillos
Tres Ocotillos – Arizona, USA
It is almost always worth hanging out for the sunset in Arizona. Tres Ocotillos was captured on Kodachrome at the end on a very prolific day on the Sonoran desert. It is three spiny ocotillos silhouetted against the western sky. It wasn’t until three weeks later when the transparencies came back from Kodak that I noticed the apparition cloud bird chasing the real world bird ready to swallow it whole…or is that just me?

joshi daniel: Thanks for liking my image captured on Kodachrome. I tried Fuji Velvia 50 for a while which is even more saturated, but Kodachrome’s color rendition always seemed more natural to me.

Thanks Lezlie. My apparition cloud bird is the dark side of beauty, but there is so much sensuous light for the eyes to feast upon as well.
