Bridal Veil Falls North Carolina
Bridal Veil Falls – North Carolina, USA
I dedicate this image to my North Carolina friends. It is a testament to the beauty of their state, and respite from the recent and senseless tragedy in Chapel Hill.
There’s no hiking required to see Bridal Veil Falls in the Nantahala National Forest, North Carolina. The water from the 45 ft. falls drops right over the circular pull-in off scenic highway US 64 so you can drive your car under it.

Andrea Giang | Cooking with a Wallflower: For a period of nearly 10 years, I spent 2 weeks per year driving the back roads in the hill country of North Carolina looking for almost hidden dirt roads and hiking trails with nonexistent trail heads. Naturally I fell in love with the state. Thanks so much for liking my image “Bridal Veil Falls”.

I am wondering… about how you got this tranquil image, did you drive under these falls or was there a more indirect trail to get to it?

I pulled the car over to the side of the road, pondered the beauty of the falls for about 20 min. and made the capture. I saw no trail head, but was able to bushwhack up the mountainside to the top where I spent about an hour photographing the stream under the canopy (coming soon).
