  1. Candia. I actually got paid for this fun night out. Go figure!

    The photographic challenge was to make it look like the images were done in a studio rather than at a party. Also, there were ten models wearing the exact same dress and jewelry and each image had to look different in some way. Thanks for liking “Fashion at the Oscars 1″.

    • Which is a challenge that I’ve never seen anyone pull off before your images. Because you are such a fine artist, you were able to pull this off beautifully. I’ve been photographing jewelry for years and I’ve never even come close to accomplishing what you have under these circumstances…

      • As previously stated, I never forget about the aspect of art.
        This image was shot on the fly so I had the camera in one hand connected by cable to a Speedlight in the other hand to get the light off-axis from the lens (above the subject, to the side, angled down is best). The room was dark which is great for mingling but not for photography, however this can be used to your advantage. The underexposure on the model made her more seductive, and the background was allowed to go black focusing all the attention on her. It was the Speedlight (with diffuser) that made the jewelry pop.
