  1. Yes, I love this quote from Burroughs..he was a most unusual character…wrote some brilliant stuff and some absolute drivel….Love him nonetheless….

    • An artist has to eliminate the drivel. In photography you’re only as good as your worst photograph. It is that worst photograph that you will be judged upon so you have to edit with impunity. Keep only your best images and throw the rest out so you are never tempted to use them.

      • This was difficult for me in the beginning. I didn’t understand the concept fundamentally. And, unless the drivel was blatantly obvious, until my eyes had been opened and could truly see, I wasn’t that sure if some of the drivel was actually drivel…Now, I just toss anything that doesn’t take me back in my mind to the actual location in which the image was created.
