When this old world starts getting me down
And people are just too much for me to face
I climb way up to the top of the stairs
And all my cares just drift right into space
On the roof, it’s peaceful as can be
And there the world below can’t bother me…

  1. Very interesting view, I really like the sky, moody, with little colour for sunset. What buildings are we looking at?
I see some greenery on one of the roofs, does your roof have a garden?

    • That mood lasted about 15 seconds so I had to hustle to catch it (no tripod).

I don’t know the names of those buildings. The Mandel has a small garden of drought tolerant plants, a barbeque/party area, and a dog run.

    • I don’t have the answers so I contacted my brother who is an aerospace engineer. He said this, “It’s a Bell 205, which is one of the commercial variants of the Huey. The military version was originally called the HU-1, hence the nickname Huey. H is for helicopter and U is for Utility. 16,000 have been built at the Bell plant in Ft. Worth TX.”

When I made this capture, they were in the process of demonstrating the firefighting capabilities of the Bell 205. It was amazing how much water this helicopter was carrying!

I’m glad you liked my photograph.

  2. It has been well established that I love art and that photography is my passion. That being said, I have never purchased a photographic print until now. When I saw this fine art print, by O Bisogno Scotti , it took my breath away. It is mesmerizing. I had to have it. I wish all of you could see it as I do but unfortunately the internet does not show art in it’s fullest beauty. The colors are magnificent, the blue sky and the golden clouds. The detail in the buildings, the clarity of each individual brick, the reflections in the windows, And the light. It’s always ultimately about the light. This is my favorite piece of art.

  3. Thank you for your purchase Lezlie. I’m so glad you are enjoying it. By the way, the Wilhelm Imaging Research Institute print permanency rating for your pigment print on UltraSmooth Fine Art Paper under UV glass is 175 years, 300 years in dark storage.
