Bronx Boy
Rapper/businessman Karif Knox walked into fotografia-LA Studio, Studio City, California, needing publicity photos and I instantly realized I needed this young, hip street kid from the Bronx for my portfolio. We talked, and both being from NY, we hit it off. I decided to cut him some slack on the price, and we got down to business. He was a breeze to work with, and in the next hour we came up with some very nice photos that would be beneficial to both of us. Karif and his Bronx buddy Jermaine Simon are now making their move. As always, you did a wonderful job at capturing this handsome, young, rapper. I’m sure you won him over with your stories about being in a band.
Thank you!

I have to ask why did you use a zoom lens for this image?

AF Zoom-Nikkor 80-200 mm f/2.8D ED is one of best portrait lenses around in my opinion. At f 2.8 it is a very fast lens making it easy to blow out the background, and its bokeh* is quite beautiful.
