  1. The perfection of this image for me, is not only spotted in the artistic detail and inspiration, but mainly on the assurance which provides to the viewer, that nature can be ideal and not imaginary.

And this is the exact instant, when Art, offers the prizes…

    exceptional work…

    • I must admit I am detail oriented and one who is always seeking inspiration, and I agree with you that nature can be the ideal even when intruded upon by the hand of man…when left alone, it is the ideal.

This was my golden prize on September 19, 2011 @ 6:47 am.

Thank you for your kind words Scarlett.

  2. I don’t know why I have waited so long to “like” this image. I would love to some day be standing on this pier looking out to “other worlds”, and smelling the fresh salt air, I can taste the saltiness that will be in the air and the fresh clean scent of water. This looks to be low tide, I wonder how high the ocean gets at high tide?
What are the buildings at the end of the pier?

    • It was somewhere in between high and low tide. I know this beach, and at high tide there is practically no sand left to stand on. I didn’t have a chance to walk out on the pier because I was on my way to a photo shoot. Most likely they are sea food restaurants. They usually are. I’m glad I stopped to capture this scene.

    • At the time, I was inspired by a gold tone photograph I had seen. I figured out how to do it, but then made it halfway between gold and sepia to make it my own…so it is a gold/sepia tone effect.

      • This is my second purchase from fotografia-LA. I now own this beautiful, tranquil Fine Art print, the first being Rainbow, Falls, Tree! They live together in tranquility on my living room wall. Thank You for the opportunity to own such Fine Art.

  3. I come here every time I need to hear the surf lap gently at the shore and smell the salty air and find the peace and comfort that a gentle dawn can provide.

    • Thanks Sukiyama02. What you have to do is get there while it is still cold, dark and raining. Then setup your camera/tripod and wait for the sun to rise. If Mother Nature is willing, there is a possibility of being rewarded with an image such as this one.
