Kodak Tri-X 400 is a somewhat grainy b&w film, and I pushed it to ASA 1600 to accentuate the grain. It was taken using ambient light and a mirror on the left for fill. Handheld. Scanned on Polaroid SprintScan 4000.
Minolta SR-T 101 SLR, Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50 mm f/1.7 lens, Kodak Tri-X ASA 400 35 mm b&w film, handheld.

WOW! This is the sexiest photo I have seen yet! Beautiful in b&w
I especially like the lighting from the sun. I would have thought that being back lit like that she would have been more of a silhouette! :):

I was trying to make this scene look Parisian. I think I succeeded. It had to be b&w…the grainier the better. There was a mirror in the room which I used to reflect light back onto the subject otherwise it would have been a silhouette.

You succeeded! This is a beautiful piece of art, Kate is sexy, but you made her more alluring by the sparseness of the room. you cannot help but focus on her, even if you were to try to look at her shoe your eye gets drawn upwards.

I couldn’t resist the allure of this stunning woman in B&W my favourite medium. So I now have this print on my wall. I also Have Nude in Music Room, and the two are together on one wall!

Lezlie Gwynn (Sokol): Thanks for liking “Kate”. This image is all about gesture. Technically, it is a split-toned b&w photograph…a warm brown-tone in the foreground/subject and cool blue-tone in the background. The effect is more subtle on fine art paper than it is on the web.
