David HidalgoLos Lobos are arguably the most successful Chicano band in existence today. Their special blend of blues, rock, Tex-Mex, Tejano and has made them a successful touring act for over 30 years.

On January 5, 2011, David Hidalgo and Louie Perez, the principal songwriters of Los Lobos, and two of their buddies on bass and drums jump-started the Los Angeles Arts Month Kick-Off Celebration on the Music Center Plaza at Dorothy Chandler Pavillion in downtown Los Angeles. They played selections from Evangeline, The Queen of Make-Believe, a theaterwork co-written by Perez and produced by About Productions.
