  1. See, now, I really like this. It’s so bright, clean and crisp. You’ve captured a beautiful and sunny Southern California Day. Whoever designed this area did an amazing job of it as well. And those benches….

    • Thank you Lezlie. It is nice at the top of Bunker Hill. There are stairs and escalators that take you from one rooftop plaza to the next all at different levels…perfect for a sunny SoCal day! For me, the beauty of this photograph is it’s a found image, captured in an instant in time with no advance planning.

      • So all of this must be near Angel’s Flight. I remember when they shut that down, the year my son was born. I’d like to see what it’s like now. I love elevators and escalators. Goes back to when I was a kid and used to play on them…much to the chagrin of my mother and everyone else around. I live for found images. I love the spontaneity…you either get it or you don’t. I just like that a lot, for the most part. But I do end up sitting around a lot waiting for the light, a cloud, a bird, whatever to come along. It’s all great!

      • Yes Lezlie. Angel’s Flight goes up to the Water Court at California Plaza. Cross Grand Ave to the next plaza. Then cross Hope St. to the next plaza and that’s where I found “Bunker Hill Guy”. Sadly, Angel’s Flight has been shut down for the last two years! It only travels one block and they can’t keep it running…and Angel’s Knoll has been closed for a year.

You’re right. Whether a capture takes a fraction of a second or weeks waiting for the light, It’s all great fun!
