    • This was captured in Carrizo Plain National Monument during the wettest year California has had in 100 years. The plain was blanketed with yellow orange California poppies, with accents of blue lupine.

  1. How awesome a sight that must have been. I have not seen poppies in real life nor lupine either they are in my favorite colour blue. Do these flowers have a scent?.

  2. I love your digital paintings! This is the first one I have seen framed and in person. It blew my mind! I love the way you see and interpret nature. You show Mother Nature’s beauty with your own unique perspective. Perhaps that’s why she always graces you with her secrets.

    • I started out remaining strictly close to the idiom of making photographic images. I thought I was being pure, but what happens when you don’t see it that way?…when you don’t envision photographic detail and the image becomes stronger with less. Less becomes more!
